First trip to this location, although we have been to their Tuano location. This one is a little smaller, but busier and newer (or at least fresher looking). Decor was pleasant and as a marked improvement over the other location, no carpet to be stained and hold odors! Today we had: The Lumberjack - omelette made with potatoes, bacon, sausage, ham & cheddar cheese & choice of Toast (English muffin in this case). And a Breakfast Burrito - Ham, Scrambled Eggs, Onions, Peppers, Cheddar Cheese. Served with a side of Sour Cream (passed on this) & Salsa added Avocado for $2. Both were very well-sized and filling. Nothing fancy. Just good food at a reasonable price for what you receive. Waitress was very pleasant, polite and friendly, and she was prompt and efficient without being too intrusive.
I had ordered a breakfast burrito w/o sour cream but with avocado along with tea. It was so perfect in that the tortilla was slightly grilled just to make it have it the crunch factor and the extra money I paid for the avocado was well spent because the burrito had so much of it! Hubby had the Lumberjack omelette and an English muffin as he loves meat. The food came quickly and our server was so sweet, realizing that I was a slow nibbler. This Honey Butter's was so much cleaner than the other one on Richmond Rd. lacking the carpet, thank goodness, and hence that certain smell that wasn't the most attractive. This one was well decorated, with the presence of an attractive bar, a large screen television all lined up beautifully. Kudos!
Had an excellent experience eating here for Williamsburg restaurant week. Food: Chicken and dumplings were delicious! Salad was also good, not the biggest fan of their ranch (too much dill)) and too many onions but was able to pick them off. Chocolate cake that came with the restaurant week meal was very good! Husband has their club sandwich with fries and it was also very good! Our server that night was extremely sweet and kind. Will be back!
Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The catfish was excellent alongside the hush puppies. Their garlic fried potatoes were exceptional highly recommended. The service was very good our server Alexus was very friendly and prompt. She even shared the reason why "Hush Puppies " have that name. You'll have to ask for Alexus when you dine there. The ambiance is open almost cafeteria style. Tables and booths are available. Overall a pleasant dining experience.
We had the large French toast that we split, it was 4 large pieces of thick French toast. I was a little disappointed with how small the grits were for the price. The bacon was just right. The Buffalo chicken wrap wasn't as spicy as my son wanted, but still good.
